A Note From Crystel
"As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you." -Isaiah 66:13
Hi! I'm Crystel
I'm a retired maternity nurse, baby expert, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with over two decades of experience caring for mothers and babies.
My journey in maternal-child health began at just 16 years old and has included roles in postpartum and mother-baby nursing, OB/GYN care, maternity surgery, and midwifery training. I also completed part of my nursing education in New York and remain deeply committed to continuing education, innovation, and providing families with the highest level of care.
My husband, Matt, and I are raising our two children, Jack and Ellie. My own feeding journey was far from perfect. After a C-section for a frank breech presentation, my son struggled with an undiagnosed tongue tie, leading to significant feeding challenges, bottle feeding, and eventually formula feeding. Years later, after weeks of persistence, I was able to breastfeed my daughter for most of her first year before transitioning to formula. At the time, I was not yet an IBCLC and often wished I had access to the kind of proactive support I now provide to families.
Today, through Latch, I offer boutique concierge infant feeding care designed to support families from pregnancy through weaning. By intentionally serving a limited number of families, I provide personalized guidance, continuity of care, and a level of support rarely found in today's healthcare system.
Because every family deserves a baby expert on their care team.

Mission + Values
At Latch, Crystel believes families deserve more than rushed appointments and one-size-fits-all advice.
Her mission is to provide personalized, unbiased evidence-based feeding support that nurtures both mother and baby while protecting the health, confidence, and wellbeing of the entire family. By beginning care early in pregnancy whenever possible, she helps families prepare for feeding success, identify potential challenges before birth, and enter the postpartum period feeling informed, supported, and confident.
Through faith-centered care, clinical expertise, and meaningful relationships, Crystel guides families through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and infant feeding with compassion, purpose, and excellence.
This is more than lactation care—it is a commitment to helping families thrive.
