Crystel's Story

Meet Crystel Corbin, RN, IBCLC, CEO of Latch –

Faith-Centered Lactation Consultant in Iowa

Psalm 139:14

"I will praise Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Thy works, and that my soul knoweth right well."

Crystel is a registered nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over a decade of experience supporting maternal and infant health. A nurse since 2009, she brings a strong clinical foundation from acute care, postpartum, and OB/GYN settings into her work as a lactation consultant in Iowa. Her care specializes in airway-focused, gut-health–centered infant feeding support, while honoring each family’s unique goals and values.

Drawing from both professional expertise and personal experience—including low milk supply, triple feeding, SNS use, undiagnosed tongue ties, and a later successful breastfeeding journey—Crystel supports families with deep empathy and clarity. She is highly trained in oral function, tongue and palate anatomy, airway dynamics, infant tension patterns, CST principles, gut health, and hormonal contributors to milk supply. Crystel is CST-certified to educate parents on infant tension, a Tiny Health gut health practitioner, low milk supply certified, TOT expert, and a prenatal and postpartum nutrition advocate.

Crystel also helped pioneer the introduction of red-light photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy to Iowa, offering a gentle, research-supported option for nipple pain, cracked nipples, clogged ducts, mastitis, and low milk supply. PBM therapy is now available to families in Central Iowa through collaboration with Feel Good Chiropractic in Ankeny and is recognized globally for breast and lactation wellness.

Rooted in faith and collaboration, Crystel works closely with pediatricians, chiropractors, dentists, therapists, and birth professionals to ensure families receive comprehensive, evidence-based feeding care. She is devoted to helping parents feel confident, informed, and fully supported—so every baby has the opportunity to thrive.
