Crystel's Story
Crystel Corbin, RN, IBCLC
CEO/Owner Latch
Psalm 139:14
"I will praise Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Thy works, and that my soul knoweth right well."
Crystel specializes in airway-focused, gut-health–centered feeding care while honoring each family’s unique goals. Her own experiences—navigating low supply, triple feeding, SNS use, undiagnosed tongue ties, and later a successful breastfeeding journey—allow her to support families with deep empathy and understanding. Crystel has a deep passion for learning every factor that influences feeding—palate shape, tongue function, airway dynamics, infant tension patterns, CST principles, gut health, colic, hormonal contributors to milk supply, and more.
She is highly involved in her local community and collaborates with providers across the country to ensure she remains at the forefront of the most current research and integrative approaches in infant feeding and maternal wellness. Crystel is CST certified to train parents about infant tension, low milk supply certified, a tiny health gut health practitioner, TOT expert, and a prenatal and postpartum nutrition advocate.
She pioneered the introduction of red-light “PBM Therapy” to Iowa, offering a gentle, research-supported option for cracked nipples, nipple pain, non-bacterial mastitis, clogged ducts, low milk supply, and more. This therapy is now widely recognized in lactation and medical communities for its low-impact approach and rapid results.
Parents in Central Iowa can now access PBM therapy right in Ankeny at Feel Good Chiropractic. These techniques were shared with us through our collaboration with the Bayou Breastfeeding Center in Texas, and are part of a global standard of care for nipple and breast wellness.
PBM therapy is used worldwide to support breast and lactation health—and it’s now available here in Iowa thanks to the work of Dr. Isaiah.
A nurse since 2009, Crystel became an IBCLC after years of experience in acute care, postpartum nursing, and OB/GYN settings. Crystel has been with her husband since high school, and they have been happily married for 14 years. They live in Dexter, Iowa with their two children—Jack (12) and Elizabeth “Ellie” (9). When she’s not supporting families, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and children, making sourdough, and creating herbal apothecary items.
Crystel knows a mother’s milk is uniquely designed for her baby, and she is devoted to ensuring parents feel confident, informed, and fully supported. With a collaborative, faith-centered approach, she helps families meet their feeding goals and ensures every baby is given the opportunity to thrive.
